Storytelling that's very common way of connecting to people-here SV Nathan an HR guy tells his stories at TEDx Prayagraj
This TEDX talk tells us about the art of storytelling...
Stories are about human sentiments...every one of us has a story of our own to tell and feel good about it!
Good things about your own story (don't use cooked one, even with million rehearsals, you will look and sound fake)
Nathan SV has all real-life stories, and he quotes names of people related to those events too, just to inspire confidence in skeptics. showing gratitude and respect for those people. He is a veteran HR guy, can't go wrong. :)
--Story #1 & 2: Poor Grandmother's clairvoyance on boy Nathan having his own car and not just that, but a chauffeur driven one too. Both came true and quite early in life. And, with no ordinary chauffer but the CEO of the British MNC himself (Baharupiya :)...Nathan is also author of a book, The Bahrupiyan Challenge!
--Story #3: Empathy 10/10 (not performative) helped an employee come out of a death like situation in a foreign land...Power of a voice, however feeble and coming from someone not so significant among others...
--Story#4: If you work for an American firm and you are not running 10K, you must be a looser! But Nathan has never been looser. This story has a chilling start to it. Just before the race starts, Nathan gets a gripping cramp that almost disabled him to even walk, forget a run! But then comes an angel, an agent provocateur, mentors of all mentors and he nudges a sagging Nathan for a small target, Nathan inches to it, then another nudge, another small target, Nathan gets to than and then it was no looking back...Nathan was one of the top finishers that day! Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad is a living witness to that act of not giving up and a divine intervention.
I loved all his stories and the passion and glitter in his eyes and a childlike twitch in his feet while he narrated these stories...
