CHRO or Pratibha Patil?

An ex-CHRO of Infosys, also a tenured Unilever guy, in an interview, told, I have worked in all functions of HR but Comp& Ben! He is an XLRI grad...
I pity such CHROs, who, especially when they come from Mars and Venus of HR ( la XL, TISS, etc.) and then say something so silly....
Why?
1. For such a critical function, which directly links with IT Service's firm's Cost to operating profit model, you had no involvement with C&B? Is it rocket science?
2. As a CHRO, you are a leader for all functions of HR and then you say, you didn't work in C&B?
3. If you conveniently ignored that C&B from leading and redesigning, rehashing, and playing with various models of it, your company either did not have C&B in real sense (Just Payroll and Project Costing sheet to work backwards on resource cost) or you left it with poor folks, who lived on delusion that, they are super specialist folks.
So, dear CHROs, please stop behaving like Ms. Pratibha Patil....
.....Ignorance and Negligence are OK with Trophy wives...Not You..
Don't create caste-system in your HR team....
Till the time, Mercers and Willis Tower Watsons are there, your team in C&B would at best match Job Codes and print offer letters.. :)
